ရန္ကုန္ၿမိဳ ႔ေပၚရွိ ေကတီဗီဆိုင္ေတြ၊ အႏွိပ္ခန္းေတြကို စစ္အစိုးရအာဏာပိုင္ေတြက ဝင္ေရာက္ရွာေဖြတာေတြ၊ ဖမ္းဆီးစစ္ေဆးတာေတြ လုပ္ေနျပီး ဆိုင္ေတြကိုလည္း ပိတ္ခိုင္းေနပါတယ္။ ဒီျဖစ္ရပ္ေတြဟာ ရန္ကုန္တိုင္း ရဲမႈးၾကီးဝင္းႏိုင္ ဖမ္းဆီးခံရတဲ့ အေၾကာင္းနဲ႔လည္း ဆက္စပ္မႈေတြ ရွိေနတယ္လို႔ ေျပာဆိုမႈေတြလည္း ရွိေနပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမဲ့လည္း ဒီလုပ္ငန္းေတြက ရဲ နဲ႔ စရဖ မ်ား အတြက္ ပံုမွန္ ဆက္ေၾကးသေဘာ ဝင္ေငြေတြရေနတာေၾကာင့္ ယာယီ စီမံခ်က္မ်ိဳးပဲျဖစ္မယ္လို႔လည္း ရန္ကုန္ေဒသခံေတြက သံုးသပ္ေနၾကပါတယ္။

最近ヤンゴンの人の間で評判のミャンマーマッサージを受けに行きました。場所はオリンピックホテルです。なぜ評判かというと、まず料金が45分3,000 チャット（約270円）と高くなく、マッサージ師が18～28歳の女性だからです。ここまで聞くと、「なんかあやしげなサービスがあるんじゃないの？」と思ってしまうのですが、そんなことはなく、マッサージ中はドアを半開きにして、廊下から別の従業員が中を確認できるようにしています。しかし、当然のことながらお客は男性ばっかりです（笑）。
I went to a massage parlor offering Myanmar-style massage that recently became popular among Yangon people. It was located in Olympic Hotel. The reasons why it was so popular are a cheap rate at 3,000 kyat or US$2.30 for 45 minutes and young massage ladies between 18 and 28 years old. You may suspect they might offer some other special services, but the answer is "No, they don't." During massage they keep the door partially open so that other employees can sometimes check the inside of the room from the corridor. But I could see only male customers there.
小職はミャンマー人の友人二人に連れられて行きました。頼んだのは45分×2セッションの１時間半コースです。マッサージルームはホテルの部屋をそのまま流用したような部屋で、ベッドが３つある部屋でした。しばらくすると、マッサージ嬢が登場。ミャンマーマッサージはタイ古式マッサージに比べるとあまりボキボキっていうのがなく、脚中心のマッサージです。結構力が強く、若い女性だと思って油断していると、文字通り痛い目に遭います（爆）。しっかりマッサージをしてもらった後は、サービスでフルーツとジュースが来ます。ここもポイントが高いですね。
Two Myanmar friends of mine took me there. We ordered two sessions of 45-minute massage or 1.5-hour course. We were introduced to a massage room with three beds that seemed to be diverted from a hotel guestroom. A few minutes later three massage ladies came into our room. Myanmar-style massage was not as strong as Thai traditional massage and was rather leg massage. Though they were young ladies, their power was much stronger than I thought. After the satisfactory massage, they brought free fruits and juice to us. I thought this service was also one of the reasons why this massage parlor was so popular.
