We met Burmese novelist and astrologer Min Thein Kha in Myanmar in 2006. Our driver Maung Maung took us to his compound outside Rangoon where he was conducting classes in astrology and fortune telling. A beloved character, he welcomed us warmly. Min Thein Kha had served several prison sentences but had no harsh words for the ruling junta. He died in 2008 from complications of diabetes.
